University of Wisconsin Helmet Matchbook — Vintage Badgers Print

That helmet is the one your dad remembers. White shell, red oval, a single bar across the face — the look Wisconsin wore through the Big Ten seasons of the 1960s and into the 70s, back when Camp Randall on a Saturday meant wool coats and a thermos. The W in the oval predates the Motion W by decades. It's the Badgers before the modern era, rendered in two colors because two colors was all you needed.
